There
have never been more options for treating spine diseases.
Many of the techniques and technologies are new. With
multiple new and sometimes conflicting courses of treatment
available, there is a pressing need to research the efficacy
of the various options.
When is surgery warranted?
Which medications are most effective?
Which surgical technique is most effective?
How soon after an injury is it best to perform surgery?
These are just some of the questions that are currently
debated in medicine.
Answering these questions, and many other similar questions
regarding spine care, is the focus for the research activities
of the National Spine Foundation. Through funding research
fellowships, sponsoring IDE studies and holding educational
forums for the presentation of new studies, the National
Spine Foundation strives to advance our knowledge of the
most effective treatments for treating spine pain. |
